Gratitude for Body

I said to my body softly, "I want to be your friend." It took a long breath and replied, "I've been waiting my whole life for this." ~ Nayyirah Waheed

Introduction:

"I feel old before my time" "Why does my body hate me?" "My body feels like the enemy"

Gratitude with Fibromyalgia

If you have fibromyalgia, it might seem that you can't trust your body anymore. Keep reading to find out how this one simple thing helps.

Hey Fibro Girl!

“I feel old before my time.”

“My body has turned on me.”

“My body is the enemy.”

“Why does my body HATE me?”

“I hate my body.”

Have you ever said or thought any of those things about your body? If you have fibromyalgia you probably have.

Your body is NOT the enemy

Your body is NOT the enemy.

It doesn’t hate you nor has it turned on you.

It’s trying to tell you that it needs to be heard. Your body just needs love. And it comes from you.

You’ve been through A LOT <<First Name>> and now you have fibromyalgia. I’d like to invite you to see what happens when you start feeling grateful for your amazing body.

It's not crazy

I know this might seem like it’s totally insane and so far-fetched that you want to yell at me…but wait…!

Loving your body can feel near impossible right now, but with all new things and tiny habits, START SMALL. Just choose one thing about your incredible body that you can be thankful for today. I’ll start: I’m grateful for my eyes to see all of the beauty around me. OK Your turn…

Give Gratitude a Try

💠What’s one Tiny Little Thing about your body that you could be grateful about right now? (You can always add more things as you go).

When you start appreciating all the awesome things your body can do, you’ll begin to feel better. Try it and see what happens.

What you appreciates, appreciates
