Why healing the past is the key to moving forward with fibromyalgia

Hey Fibro Girl!

Now that we’re in the thick of winter (at least here in Canada) it’s a great time to move inwards. This month we’ll be talking about Healing the Past as the next secret to thriving with fibromyalgia.

Unhealed Pain

Fibromyalgia is A LOT! You know that for sure. But did you also know that our bodies store trauma? Repressed Emotions? Suppressed Feelings?

It’s stored as

Pain

Inflammation

Headaches

Fatigue…and more!

Hmmm…sounds a lot like FIBROMYALGIA to me!

How to grieve losses

So grab your journal and a pen.

Make a list of all of the losses you’ve experienced with fibromyalgia

Feel & Process each one and Release them

**This can be HARD, heavy and scary at times. If it gets too much PLEASE reach out for help. Many agencies offer free or low cost counseling services. Many doctors offices have an in house therapist for free. There is NO SHAME in getting help. You deserve this and owe it to yourself.

Other things to grieve

Some of the losses you might need to process are the loss of…

💜Function

💜Relationships

💜Who you are

💜 Capacity

It’s important to face & feel all those things from the past. It won’t happen in one sitting - this is a process. Be so kind and loving towards yourself and I promise that you’ll start feeling better once that stuff gets released. (Though it might feel really crappy during it which is why you may need extra help and support)

Also if you don’t even know where to start, download yourfree guide with some prompts to start.

Ps. If you don't spend time processing all the stuff, it will just keep coming up until you do. And usually at the worst times. You owe it to yourself to get that stuff cleaned out now!
